How to choose a daily savings app
Ask yourself these 4 questions before you download anything.
1. Fixed or market-linked?
Can't accept any ups and downs? Choose a deposit. Can wait a few years? Gold or mutual funds may grow more.
2. When will you need the money?
Within months? Pick something you can withdraw quickly. 3+ years? A locked RD or gold can work.
3. What can you keep up daily?
Start with an amount you won't miss on a slow day. ₹54 every day beats ₹200 for one week.
4. What happens when you withdraw?
Check time to your bank, exit load, GST, and the gap between buy and sell price.
- Want zero risk: post office or bank RD.
- Want to build gold slowly: a gold app or a gold mutual fund. Compare GST and regulation first (gold SIP vs digital gold).
- Want something steady you can withdraw fast: a liquid or short-term debt fund (Savings+, Bachatt Insta Fund).
- Earn daily and want gold, silver and savings together: a daily SIP app like Pyllar.

Common questions
Which is the best daily savings app in India?
There's no single best app. It depends on what you want. For a fixed, guaranteed rate, a post office or bank RD is safest, but it's monthly, not daily. To build gold slowly, use a gold app or a gold mutual fund. For market-linked growth from a small daily amount, a mutual fund app like Pyllar (from ₹54/day) or Bachatt (from ₹51/day) fits. Compare the minimum, where your money goes, and how fast you can withdraw.
Which daily savings app gives interest?
Most daily savings apps don't pay fixed interest. Digital gold apps like Jar follow the gold price. Mutual fund apps like Pyllar or Bachatt give market-linked returns, which aren't fixed or guaranteed. Fixed interest comes from bank and post office deposits. Post office RD pays 6.7% a year for October–December 2026, with a minimum of ₹100 a month.
Is it safe to save money daily in an app?
It depends on what the app puts your money into. Mutual funds are regulated by SEBI and held in your name with the fund house, not by the app. Bank deposits are insured by DICGC up to ₹5 lakh per bank. Digital gold isn't regulated by SEBI or RBI. Before using any app, check its registration on amfiindia.com or sebi.gov.in.
What is the minimum amount I can save daily?
It differs by app. Jar lets you save in digital gold from ₹10 a day. Pyllar starts at ₹54 a day for gold and silver. Bachatt's daily savings start at ₹51 a day. Post office RD needs at least ₹100 a month. Always check the app before you start, as minimums can change.
Can I withdraw my daily savings anytime? Are there charges?
Most apps let you withdraw anytime, but the speed and cost differ. Mutual fund withdrawals usually reach your bank in 1–3 working days, and some funds charge an exit load if you withdraw early. Digital gold has no exit load, but you pay 3% GST when you buy and sell at a lower price than you buy, so selling quickly can mean a small loss. Post office RD can only be closed early after 3 years.
Daily savings in gold vs mutual fund: which is better?
Both can be good, for different needs. Gold follows the gold price and has long been used to protect savings against rising prices. You can buy it as digital gold (3% GST, not SEBI-regulated) or through a gold mutual fund (no GST, SEBI-regulated). Debt funds suit money you want steadier. Many people split their daily saving across both.
Is daily SIP better than monthly SIP?
Not better, just different. Over long periods, daily and monthly SIPs tend to end up close in value. A daily SIP suits people whose income comes in daily or weekly, because saving small amounts as you earn is easier than finding a big amount at month-end. A monthly SIP suits a fixed salary.
